Every Family Has a Cancer Story. This Is Ours.
Cancer has touched nearly every branch of my family, and those experiences have shaped my life's mission.
My mother fought and survived breast cancer. Watching her endure uncertainty, fear, and treatment forever changed me. Her courage showed me that survival is possible, but it also revealed how much more work remains to improve treatment options for patients and their families.
My aunt lost her battle with breast cancer, and my grandmother passed away from ovarian cancer. Another beloved aunt suffered a devastating stroke caused by an undiagnosed bleeding stomach ulcer. Because doctors could not safely remove the clot without risking life-threatening bleeding throughout her body, she was left with permanent brain damage.
Every time I visit her in the hospital, I hold her hand and promise her that I will do everything in my power to help her get better. While I know there are no easy answers, I refuse to accept that this is the end of her story. That promise became the driving force behind my mission—to help support ethical, evidence-based scientific research that may one day give hope to patients and families facing devastating diseases.
Like millions of families around the world, we have experienced the pain of losing loved ones, the fear of waiting for test results, and the heartbreaking feeling of not being able to do enough.
No family should have to face these moments without hope.
A Mission Born from Experience
For more than six years, I have worked alongside scientists, researchers, physicians, innovators, and entrepreneurs developing promising therapeutic technologies.
During that time, I witnessed an unfortunate reality. Many brilliant scientists were not held back by a lack of talent or dedication. They were held back by a lack of funding.
Some of the most promising ideas never move beyond the laboratory because they are considered too early, too interdisciplinary, too unconventional, or too risky for traditional grants, government funding, or venture capital.
Yet history has repeatedly shown that many of medicine's greatest breakthroughs were once considered impossible.
That experience shaped my mission.
I want to become an investor, accelerator, connector, and advocate for ethical, evidence-based medical innovation. I believe promising scientific ideas deserve the opportunity to be rigorously researched, independently validated, and—when demonstrated to be safe and effective—translated into therapies that improve and save lives.

As a mother, this mission is deeply personal.
Like every parent, I dread hearing the words, "You have cancer." But my greatest fear is not simply receiving a diagnosis. It is losing the ability to truly live—to watch my children grow, celebrate their milestones, explore the world with them, and create memories that last a lifetime. It is the thought of leaving them before I have had the chance to see them become the people they are meant to be.
Every child deserves more time with their parents. Every young mother and father deserves the opportunity to fight not only for survival but for a life filled with purpose, dignity, and precious moments together.
I also believe that every person deserves hope—whether they are a child, a young adult, a parent, or an elder. Age should never determine whether someone is worthy of another chance at life, better health, or more meaningful time with the people they love. Everyone deserves the opportunity to benefit from scientific progress that can improve both the quality and the length of life.
