I am sharing the story of a friend who has been a sister to me for over 40 years. She is someone who has spent her entire life in service to others—the kind of neighbor who always volunteered to drive those in need to their appointments and was the first to show up when a hand was needed. That service was more than just a task; it was how she stayed connected to her community and how she got herself to church each week. It is heartbreaking to see her struggling now, especially since she is currently without the transportation that allowed her to be that helping hand.

Due to a recent, severe injury, my dear friend has faced an incredibly difficult season. While she has thankfully returned to her remote work, the income lost during her recovery has left a critical gap that is now threatening her housing.
