My name is Tom. Four years ago, my life was shattered when a drunk driver going 91 mph rear-ended my motorcycle and left me for dead in the road.

The crash left me with catastrophic injuries: an aorta torn from my heart, lacerated internal organs, two broken legs, a broken neck, five broken vertebrae, and a shattered face. I woke up in the hospital fighting for my life.

While I have fought hard to heal, the permanent damage to my spine means the pain frequently brings me to my knees. I cannot stand or sit long enough to hold a job.

Why I Need Help Now:

The system has failed me. I was denied Social Security Disability, I have lost my housing, and because I fell behind on child support due to my inability to work, my driver's license and fishing license have been suspended. I am completely stranded, unable to work gig jobs, and struggling to get basic food and items to survive.
