Our dear friends Jarrell and Jeneil Flowers are walking through a sudden and serious medical crisis. Over the past few days, Jeneil became extremely sick and was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where doctors discovered she was battling sepsis caused by a severe kidney infection. We are incredibly thankful that she was able to receive emergency medical care in time, but the road ahead is still long.

In the coming weeks, Jeneil will need kidney surgery once her body has stabilized and recovered from the infection. Along with the emotional and physical toll this has taken on their family, the financial burden is overwhelming. Between emergency hospital care, ongoing treatment, surgery, recovery, and other unforeseen medical expenses they have already faced, the costs are adding up quickly.

If you know Jarrell and Jeneil, you know they are the kind of people who are always showing up for others. They have faithfully served in ministry for many years, pouring into people with humility, compassion, and consistency. They have invested deeply into the city of San Antonio — supporting creatives, encouraging the community, and helping young people who age out of foster care find hope, guidance, and belonging.

Now they need us.
