Mona is our bull terrier and she means everything to us.

2 weeks ago she probably swallowed part of a plastic toy, which caused a twist in her intestine. She was taken to the emergency vet in critical condition. Her kidneys were very close to failing and she needed two emergency surgeries to save her life.

After the second surgery she finally started feeling better. Her appetite came back and we thought the worst was behind us.

But three days ago, more and more fluid started leaking from her wound. Now we have to change her bandage almost every 30 minutes because it gets soaked very quickly. Mona is becoming dehydrated, and if this continues, her kidneys can become critical again.

She spent three days on IV fluids, 4 hours every day. Today we went back to the vet and the surgeon told us that Mona needs to be opened again. Without another surgery she will not survive.

We already spent all of our savings on the previous two operations. Unfortunately, our insurance doesn't cover accidents like this, and we simply don't have enough money left.

We never thought we would have to ask for help, but we are out of options. We just want to give Mona one more chance.
