I never imagined I’d be writing something like this, but right now we’re doing everything we can to save our baby, mikasa.

Recently, everything changed.

After noticing concerning symptoms — like [low energy / not eating / disorientation / vomiting / strange behavior] — we took her to the vet. After testing, we were given heartbreaking news mikasa has a liver shunt.

A liver shunt is a serious condition where blood bypasses the liver instead of being properly filtered. This causes toxins to build up in the body, making her feel sick and weak. Without treatment, it can be life-threatening.

The good news is… there is hope.

Surgery can correct the shunt and give mikasa a chance at a normal, healthy life. The hard part is that this surgery is very expensive, costing around $10000+, which is more than we can afford on our own.

That’s why we’re asking for help.

We just want more time with our baby. She deserves the chance to grow, play, and live a full life without pain.
