BRING THESE FAMILIES BACK TOGETHER

In the remote mountains of Palawan, several indigenous families continue to struggle after a tragic incident changed their lives in 2023.

Late one night, a drunken man walked for kilometers through the forest carrying weapons and arrived at the home of an indigenous family looking for trouble. Frightened relatives, including children, woke up and tried to calm the situation peacefully. During the commotion, the man was injured but thankfully survived.

After the incident, the families became afraid and confused. Because they did not know what to do and feared the consequences, the fathers involved voluntarily surrendered themselves to the police.

Until now, three fathers remain in jail while their families suffer outside.

Their wives and children — some still babies — were left without stable support or income. Living deep in the mountains, they survive mainly through charcoal-making and small daily labor. Many days, food is uncertain.

Most of them cannot read or write, making it difficult to understand legal processes or seek proper legal assistance.

These families are not asking for conflict or revenge. They only pray for understanding, healing, and the chance to become complete again as a family.

We are humbly asking for help for:

• Food and daily necessities

• Milk and supplies for children

• Transportation and legal support

• Assistance for the struggling families left behind

Any help, no matter how small, can bring hope to these forgotten indigenous families in Palawan, Philippines.
