Hi, my name is Titus back,and I’m asking for help getting reliable transportation so I can safely get to and from work.

A few months ago, I lost both my job and my car. I recently found a new job working night shifts, and while I’m grateful to be working again, getting home safely has become a serious problem.

Right now, my only option is using Uber or Lyft late at night, which has been draining almost all of my money. After paying for rides, I can barely afford food—I’ve been eating ramen most days just to get by.

Walking isn’t a safe option. My commute is about 6 miles, and getting off work around 1 AM makes it dangerous to be out alone that late at night.

As a veteran and a young Black man without a family support system to fall back on, I’m doing everything I can to stay on my feet—but I’m stuck in a cycle where I can’t save enough to fix the situation.

My goal is to raise $1,600 to buy a cheap, reliable “beater” car so I can safely commute to work and start rebuilding stability in my life.

Any support—whether it’s a donation or simply sharing this—would mean more than I can express. It would give me not just transportation, but peace of mind and a real chance to move forward.
