Four years ago, my life changed forever after I became paralyzed following my mandatory Moderna Covid 19 vaccination. Since then, my service dog Storm has been my independence, safety, and emotional support through the hardest times of my life.

Recently, Storm was diagnosed with a tumour and now requires surgery. While we are hopeful, she will no longer be able to continue working afterward. After everything she has done for me, she deserves to retire peacefully surrounded by love.

I am now facing the heartbreaking reality of funding and training another service dog while also covering Storm’s medical and retirement care.

A fully trained service dog can cost up to $60,000 in Canada and many programs have years long waiting lists.

I will continue posting updates and receipts.
