I’m sharing this because a number of people have asked how I’m doing and how they can help beyond praying for us. In 2023, I entered a family court process that is still ongoing in 2026. Because it involves my children, I’m choosing not to share details publicly.

What I can share is that for nine years I homeschooled my two boys while working part time as a professional photographer and serving as their primary at-home parent. Both of my children (now 12 & 15) are neurodivergent, with autism and ADHD, (aka AuDHD) 🧩 and being emotionally and physically present for them during my parenting time is very important to us.

After a lengthy legal process, in December 2025 I entered the full-time workforce for the first time since 2006. I’m genuinely extremely grateful for the role I’m in and excited to continue growing professionally. 🙌🏻 This new career path feels less like a re-entry and more like a natural extension of years spent managing complex responsibilities, advocating for my children, and running a small business.

Even so, the reality is that ongoing legal fees—billed at hundreds of dollars an hour—far exceed what I can realistically cover on income alone. I’ve already used savings, home equity, settlement funds, and a portion of retirement to cover prior legal costs, and there’s simply no feasible way to catch up on my own.

I don’t feel great asking for help, and this isn’t something I take lightly. This fund exists for those who feel led to come alongside me in a very practical way. Any support helps ease the financial strain of a prolonged legal process and allows me to continue working hard, parenting intentionally, and moving forward with integrity.
