Growing Hearts And Home

We are a foster/adoptive family of 8 adopting our 2nd adopted daughter in late May 2026, and prayerfully fostering again for 6 months prior to adopting our 3rd adoptive daughter when our bedroom requirements allow.

My wife has been an amazing multiplier of love and tiny-house organization strategies in our 3bed-1bath-1,039sf home, but our family's hearts are growing faster than our home.

We greatly appreciate your help and teamwork in growing our heart's and home's capacity to continue being a refuge, comfort, and forever family to little ones without a loving and safe family.

(Recent updates may have corrected the issues with seeing full sized photos and our family's vision more clearly)

Hi friends and family! =)

Our story...

Since our second date, Sara and I were in full agreement that God's plan for our lives would be a place where God's love was diligently grown and shared through fostering and adoption.

Some 10 years later it's all in full motion like the ebb and flow of ocean waves... sometimes it can be really rough sailing, lol... but most of the time it is absolutely breath-takingly beautiful as we are awe-struck by understanding more of the depths of God's love that he reveals to our entire family through this parenting and discipleship journey.

We always carry the weight as far as we can as a mom and dad for our family, but the heaviness of this next faith-building step is more than what we have saved from monthly foster stipends and savings can provide for.

Our heart's and life's calling and family's mission has grown so much faster than our 3bed, 1 bath, 1,039 square foot home will allow.

In late May of 2026, we are excited to adopt our beautifully loved, valued, and cared-for daughter, Alayna, into our family after loving her for two years!❤️

We were also blessed with a beautiful plot twist this last December that brings our family and me beyond my current Mr. Fix-It abilities, our current resources, and what our current living space will legally and functionally allow.

This past Christmas, God surprised our family in the most beautiful way. We were invited to a Heart Gallery event at Fritz's Adventure Park… and there, -completely unexpectedly, we met a sweet, Jesus‑loving 10‑year‑old girl we’ll call ‘K.’

We had already submitted an inquiry to her case manager upon randomly coming to heartfelt tears over her compelling Heart Gallery video — we just had no idea we would serendipitously meet her in person that day.

We briefly met "K" and got to know her amazing temporary therapeutic care foster mom that day. A few days later, we all met at KidMania for a playdate to just support "K" and all have a fun time together.

Toward the end of our time of Sara and I chasing all of the kids through the elevated nets and playground area like big kids, ‘K’ asked us to watch her Heart Gallery video with her… and after it ended, she asked if we would be her forever family.

We told her we would love to talk with her agency about our family being considered as a potential family for her forever home while simultaneously being diligent with her heart and mind to remind her that God has beautiful plans for her life no matter what the outcome.

Since 'K' cannot legally be fostered (6 months then eligible to adopt) in our home due to bedroom child/age/square footage per room requirements, our heartfelt prayer and diligent work is committed to have our have our remodel completed as quickly as possible for her to be allowed to join our family sometime after she finishes school in May.

In just the last few months God has blessed our family, my parents, and Sara's parents the strength and finances to physically and financially completed the first phase of building a 12' x 24' storage building to house our 12'x20' garage foster care and seasonal clothing items.

It's going to be a very busy, yet purpose-and-heart-filled May and June of 2026!

Please prayerfully, physically, or financially partner with us on this journey!

We are excited to make it all happen but we desperately need and want every single of of you to join us if at all possible!

It truly takes a village to bring about restoration, hope, healing, and a forever-home for children who never even ask for much.

If you're not able to foster and/or adopt, please consider wholeheartedly supporting this type of mission through our family.

If you'd like to know more about fostering or adoption, our family is more than happy to talk with you and walk alongside you on your journey!

Every Prayer, Share, Collaborative Effort, and Resource matters!

City Permitting and code requirements may add an additional $7K to $11K to this for electrical rewiring and/or plumbing requirements, so someone who is very experienced in this area will be desperately needed.

I'm glad to do all of the late night labor needed, but working according to building codes will ultimately ensure our family's safety.

Sidenote for next year's hopes (or as soon as possible): Our family would love to build a laundry area adjacent to our current dining table/ laundry area on the other side of the brick wall. If enough people provide just a little we can accomplish A Lot together!

Our growing family on mission is incredibly and forever grateful for your support and for you cheering us on as we make room for these two precious girls and the restoration stories God continues to write one faith-filled chapter at a time into our family. May your own ongoing restoration story be wonderfully blessed as we continue to walk alongside one another!
