Hello everyone!

I would like to share a part of my journey with you all and ask for your help.

In years past, I have been blessed with the opportunity to serve in Costa Rica as a missionary for the church that I attend in Herndon, but this year, circumstances have prevented me from going. Recent happenings have caused me to reevaluate my life's direction and my purpose in this world, and it has put a lot of things into perspective for me, including the fact that I felt out of place and lost without this week of international spiritual connection. Fortunately, a challenging and exciting opportunity was presented to me about a week ago. First United Methodist Church in Shreeveport LA has invited me to go on a short-term mission trip this June 21-29, 2016 to Mukono, Uganda.

The church has a long-standing partnership with Agape Christian Academy and its leader William Nsubuga. Agape houses 45 children orphaned by HIV/AIDS and an additional 80 children attend the boarding school. Our team’s main purpose will be to renew our relationships with the children at Agape, and I will also assist the local men in building up the physical community. I am excited to be a small part of bringing Christ’s love to the children in Mukono, and I realize that I will be blessed abundantly in return. I would like to invite you to partner with me in this missions experience financially and through prayer. The total cost of the trip is $2,300.00, which I need to raise as soon as possible so I can buy my plane ticket. I am also seeking prayer partners to pray for our group, the ministries, safety, the people of Uganda, and the trip as a whole.

Would you please consider partnering with me in this opportunity? If you wish to partner with me financially, please write and send the check to Dan Greenfield, 6 Biscayne Pl Sterling, VA 20164. The checks must be made out to me due to the short notice and my last minute addition to the trip, which did not allow the church I am traveling with ample time to purchase my ticket and then be reimbursed through fundraising, causing me to have to purchase the ticket on my own. I am aware that some may be skeptical writing a check out to an individual rather than an organization, but I can assure you that the money donated will go directly to the funding of the trip and nothing more. In the case there is a surplus of funds after or before the trip, I would give those funds to Agape Christian Academy for their benefit. For those of you hoping to be kept up to date with my mission, i invite you to like my Facebook page where I will be updating my progress and documenting my experience at facebook.com/greenfielduganda2016

I am also doing yard work and odd jobs to raise money in my free time on Saturdays and after 6:00 when i get off of work during the week, so please let me know if you have any chores that i can help you with. I would love to use this time to connect with anyone interested in hearing more about the trip or about myself as an individual.

With your donation, upon our return, I will look forward to scheduling a time with any of you to share about my trip and tell you of how God is working in my life. Thank you for your support! I look forward to letting you know how the preparations are going and will plan to give you a full report upon our return.

If you have any questions or concerns at all, please feel free to call or text me at (703) 474-1078 or email me at dangreenfield2@yahoo.com.

In Christ,
Dan Greenfield
