On July 9th the unthinkable and every mother's worst nightmare took place at the public water park in Great Falls. Piper was having a great day with her mother, Nicole. They went to Starbucks and even went to target to get her a brand new swimsuit. Her mother Nicole, allowed her to go to the Waterpark with her friend and friend's parents. Piper had gone down the slide and had another child land (possibly more, we are unsure yet) on top of her and it kept her underwater..she was believed to have been underwater for 1 to 2 minutes. She was rescued from the pool, CPR was performed and all attempts were made to resuscitate. They were transported by ambulance to Benefis where they decided this was too critical, and they made the quick decision to fly her to Logan Health PICU in Kalispell via Mercy Flight. Today, we do not know the bigger picture as she remains sedated and on a ventilator. She has wiggled her toes, and fluttered her eyes. We are asking for the community's support for this mother and her daughter as she left with nothing from home. We are hoping to be able to make this unexpected visit to Kalispell a little easier on her and so she is able to get all of the things she needs while here and to help cover bills she is missing while staying here.
