I am asking for your support either through a donation or prayers to help Teresa Stark save her home. She is in a desperate situation again. Teresa lost everything in Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and again with Hurricane Zeta in 2020. After Hurricane Katrina, an organization assisted her with getting unemployment benefits.  She never questioned it when the checks stopped, she assumed her time was done. Teresa was living in a tent with no power or internet. During Covid when she lost her job again, she applied for unemployment and found out that she had an outstanding balance from 14 years ago. Interest accrues at 1% per month. After Covid, Teresa had two employers go out of business and another had to do layoffs making it impossible for her to pay the debt. Now her wages are being subject to garnishment at close to $200 a paycheck. She cannot work two jobs anymore due to health issues.  She is in her fifties now, and works part-time as a sales associate for a non-profit because she cannot stand for very long. Teresa had minor foot surgery a couple of years ago that went very wrong leaving her with excruciating pain and neuropathy. The latest doctor wants her to have a cast on for 6-8 weeks which means she would not be able to work. On top of all of this, her rent just went up $250 per month. It looks like she could possibly be homeless again. Teresa is doing her best to stay positive, but so far, she says 2026 is not looking good. Anything you can do to support Teresa paying off the over $15,000 dollars she owes unemployment, help with living expenses and medical bills while she tries a new medical treatment, and possibly put a down payment on a vehicle when her lease is up would be greatly appreciated. At this point, she is putting her faith in God and you.
