Update – July 2026

To everyone who has supported Denise throughout her cancer journey, thank you. Your generosity, prayers, kind words, and encouragement have meant more than you know. Because of your support, Denise was able to catch up on many of her immediate financial obligations and focus on what mattered most, her health.

Recently, Denise received difficult news. She had been holding onto hope that surgery would be an option and could potentially bring an end to her chemotherapy treatments. Unfortunately, she has since learned that surgery is not an option for her. Instead, she now faces the reality of ongoing chemotherapy for the foreseeable future.

As you can imagine, this news has been both emotionally and financially overwhelming. The continued treatments make it difficult to work and create ongoing financial challenges. Every gift, no matter the size, helps ease some of the burden and allows Denise to focus on her health instead of worrying about how she will make ends meet.

Since initially starting the campaign, her diagnosis has progressed from Stage 3 to Stage 4. This has been an incredibly difficult development for her and for everyone who loves her. In addition to the progression, Denise has faced unexpected complications, including serious challenges with accessing necessary medications at a critical time. The emotional and physical toll of this has been overwhelming.

Despite everything, she continues to fight with strength and courage. But the reality is that the road ahead is now even more complex — medically, emotionally, and financially. The costs associated with ongoing treatment, appointments, medications, and daily living expenses are increasing as her condition progresses. Your continued support — whether through donations, sharing this page, or simply keeping her in your prayers — means more than words can express.

Denise is a single mother facing one of the hardest battles of her life. Shortly before her diagnosis, she lost her job of eight years and has been trying to stay afloat while navigating treatment for Stage 3C colon cancer.

She is currently undergoing chemotherapy and must travel back and forth to her appointments, all while continuing to cover her own living expenses. Over the past few months, Denise has relied on her savings to get by, but that financial cushion — including her retirement — has now been depleted.

Denise’s daughter is just 16 years old and still depends on her mom for stability and support during this incredibly difficult time.
