Hello. My Name is Katherine Robertson and Geraldine (Dee) Hunt is my mom.

    In April of 2023 she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Endometrial Cancer. She required surgery and 13 rounds of Chemotherapy. After she got to "ring the bell" in May of 2024, she began an 8 month series of immunotherapy infusions which were going well. However; as an unfortunate result of the infusions she developed Pemphigus. An auto-immune response that required stopping the immunotherapies and starting a different series of treatments. As of the end of September 2025 her scans and bloodwork showed stable numbers, and she was officially declared as a "patient with a history of cancer."  We thought she had beat this thing!

  But, by the middle of November, after battling about three months of worsening pain and progressive symptoms, her doctor ordered an EGD which found no "new" problems and the pain and discomfort only intensified. Finally, two days before New Year's, she landed in the ER where they performed a CT Scan. This was the test that finally revealed that her original cancer had made a comeback as well as spread. Her biopsy of a large mass has now confirmed the need for more intensive Chemotherapy. She is now scheduled to have infusions every 3 weeks for the next 6 months, and possibly longer.

With the news of this diagnosis, I have decided to leave full-time employment to provide the care and support she needs to be able to fight this cancer at home. I have set up this Fundraiser to try and help meet her two biggest financial needs. 

#1. THE MEDICAL EXPENSES: They continue to accumulate. 

 And 

#2. UPDATING HER MID-CENTURY-HOME: This much needed update will make the home wheelchair and walker accessible. We will remodel the main bathroom and replace the old blue, cast iron tub, with a walk-in shower, install an accommodating vanity and sink, as well as all the safety features she needs.

     I have set up a savings account that will be used to deposit and maintain the funds from her campaign and she will be able to fully determine how the money is used. 

She has asked me to include this as a statement of faith.

  "As I begin this journey... all over again, I am seeking for the Lord to provide for my needs and comfort me in the midst of trouble. And to use me to prayerfully minister to the needs of others "
