A few weeks ago, my son was in an accident while driving to pick up his younger brother. Another car pulled out in front of him, and the collision totaled the truck. Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt, but the truck was a complete loss.

That truck was our only reliable transportation. Insurance didn’t cover enough to replace it, and on a fixed income, I don’t have the ability to absorb the cost on my own. Because of the age of the vehicle, repairs aren’t realistic either—parts are hard to find and more expensive than the truck itself was worth even in good working order .

This has left us without transportation, which affects everything. My son uses a vehicle to get to school and work. He’s studying to become a mechanic and has been working hard toward building a better future for himself and helping support our family. Without a vehicle, those opportunities are now at risk.

I’m disabled and live on a limited income, so this situation has hit us harder than it might others. Transportation was the one thing that allowed us to stay afloat and keep moving forward. Losing it has made daily life much more difficult and uncertain.

I’m asking for help to either repair what can be salvaged or, more realistically, to get my son into a safe, reliable used vehicle so he can continue school and work. Any support—whether financial or sharing this—would make a real difference.

This isn’t about luxury or extras. It’s about restoring basic transportation so my son can keep working toward independence and a stable future. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any help you’re able to offer.
