On November 4, 2025, Jennifer Pauley, 57, made the decision to help herself, she entered a 7-day medically supervised alcohol detox supported by her family and friends. After completing the program, she continued her recovery at her sister's home in Wentzville as she hasn't felt safe in her Florissant home for months. The family's been working to replace the chaos and strife at Jenny's house with peace and safety, to make it a place Jenny could once again call home and continue her recovery.

Sixteen days later, on November 20, 2025, her 6-year-old twin grandsons started an accidental fire in the basement. Fortunately, everyone escaped unharmed, but nearly everything inside was a total loss.

On Saturday, November 22, Jenny went home only to recover a handful of photographs and a few personal items; almost everything else is gone forever.

Today, Jenny remains sober despite losing her home and virtually every possession. The most difficult and the most hopeful chapter of her life has begun.

Those closest to her are praying for two things; That her grandsons and daughter are safe and that Jenny knows, in her heart how much God loves her, even when everything around her has turned to ash.
