After community college, I assumed that was it. Two degrees in business, 8 semesters of some of the toughest courses I have ever been through (I'm looking at you accounting). I faced harrassment and bullying from classmates and other students, I didn't even think that I could finish my last degree. After so many hardships, mental breakdowns, and perseverance, I graduated at top of my class, was the graduation speaker, and finished with the highest honors...I didnt think I could ever continue on after that.

I started working at a Lumber facility that focused on drying cut boards from our sister sawmill as a intern with my fathers help, thats when I found an emence love for mechanical systems and the programs behind them.

I'm currently now a part time Kiln technician and working my way up yo be an operator. I decided this was my passion, making and running programs that can ease the drying process of wood, so I took the leap of faith in applying to Longwood University. I wish to dive into the world of Wired/wireless Moisture content probes and the programs behind them so the kiln technicians wont have to enter hot and near dangerous conditions to get solid readings on where the lumber is at in the drying process.

I have completed one semester so far, with all A's and is officially in the Cormiers Honors College. I have also became a Counsil member of the Student Conduct and Honors board, with this being said I strive to continue on in my education.

My family is already dealing with the stresses of cancer and health issues rising, I don't wish to ask more of them then what they already have on their plates. So with a looming 17,000 this coming semester over my head (dorming, meal plan, parking pass, tuition, books, etc) asking them for help is not a feasible option.

Here I am now, coming to ask for anyones support and help during this time so I can start my dreams of a better programming world in a industry setting.
