After my husband of 20 years tragically passed away, my household income dropped significantly, by 80 percent, and I've been holding my own in Texas, continuing to work from home as a radio traffic reporter/anchor/producer for I Heart Media. Sadly, the company just laid off a lot of employees nationwide and I was one of the victims this time around. This was unexpected, after working for them for nearly 26 years.
