I hope this message finds you well. My name is Dustin Hoover, and I'm reaching out to share my journey and ask for your help during an incredibly challenging time in my life.

In December 2019, I was suddenly thrown into a daunting battle when my immune system began attacking my body, leading to several strokes and three aneurysms. The doctors prescribed immunosuppressants to control the attack, but the treatment caused my bone density to soften, resulting in the collapse of my spine and the need for seven surgeries. Learning to walk again was a grueling process—each step felt like climbing a mountain.

Fast forward to September 2024, when I suffered another stroke that left me paralyzed on my left side. I can’t walk, eat or talk at this time my mom is my sole caregiver. She has to take care of me and all my personal needs but the financial strain has taken a toll on her as well. Since then, I have been hospitalized six times due to pneumonia and other complications. Despite the challenges, the doctors remain optimistic about my recovery, but as you can imagine, the financial pressures of this situation are overwhelming. I am working to restore my body and learn to walk and talk again. I know I will get through this with a little help from my friends.

My treatments and ongoing care are not covered by insurance—they're simply too expensive for me to handle on my own. That's where you come in. Your support could make all the difference in helping me regain some semblance of normalcy after such a tough journey. Whether it’s getting me a cup of coffee or taking me out for a walk, your help would mean so much more than just a handout—it’s about lifting spirits and making life brighter during this dark time.
