Support for my daughter's surgery

Help My Daughter Breathe, Speak, and Live Freely Again

My name is Frank Adu Opare, from Ghana -West Africa, and I’m reaching out with a heart full of hope and a plea for help. My daughter, Gloria Adu Opare, is facing a medical challenge that no child should have to endure. She needs urgent throat surgery—an operation that will allow her to breathe properly, speak clearly, and live a healthy, joyful life.

She has been struggling with this condition for some time now. Watching her in discomfort—struggling to breathe at night, avoiding speaking in public because of pain or voice strain—has been one of the hardest experiences of my life. As a parent, all you want is to take your child’s pain away, to see them laugh, play, and thrive without limitations. This surgery is the only way forward.

Doctors have been clear: the procedure is necessary, and it must be done soon to prevent long-term complications. The cost of the surgery, hospital stay, and post-operative care totals $20,000 USD—an amount that, for our family, is far beyond what we can afford on our own. Despite exhausting every possible avenue—insurance, local support, and personal savings—we are still far short of what is needed.

That’s why I’m reaching out to you.

Your support, no matter the size, will make a direct and life-changing impact. Every dollar brings us closer to giving my daughter the relief and healing she so desperately needs. Your generosity will help pay for:

The life-saving throat surgery

Hospital care and medical supplies

Post-operative treatment and recovery therapy

You won’t just be giving to a medical fund—you’ll be giving a child the chance to breathe without pain, to speak with confidence, and to grow up strong and healthy. You’ll be giving a family renewed hope.

If you’ve ever loved someone so much it hurt to see them suffer, then you know how deeply I mean this: Thank you. Thank you for reading, for caring, and for considering being a part of our story. If you can’t give, please consider sharing this with someone who might. Sometimes, hope grows not just from one big act, but from many small ones coming together.

With gratitude and hope,

Frank Adu Opare
