If I may, let me give you a brief introduction. My name is Shannon, I am 54 and I have been battling inoperable Adenocarcinoma since March of 2025. I’ve been through aggressive chemo, radiation, and was supposed to complete two years of immunotherapy, however I went into anaphylaxis on my seventh treatment, so the immunotherapy has been permanently discontinued. I have been for CT scans every 3 months, and recently, it has shown more progression, but was suspected as “insolent”. However, on my latest scan in the last week of July 2026, it showed that it is spreading.

The same week I received this devastating news, my home started having electrical problems. My sewer grinder has no electricity to it, and the sewer and water company told me that it’s my problem. This is causing sewerage to back up in my home. My AC and electric heat died. Nothing, no power. I got a window unit and I close myself up in one area. A few days later, my refrigerator smelled of chemicals, and all of my food had a black, oily residue on literally everything I just shopped for the entire month. I’m not certain if this is related to the electrical issue (electrical surge), or not - the fridge is only five years old. I had to throw out an entire month’s worth of food and go to the food bank. I truly need some help.

My car is not reliable and has no air conditioning, so I have been getting rides to my doctors appointments because I have no wiggle room to repair my car on my limited disability payments. I’m stuck. I’m afraid. I’m afraid that due to my lack of transportation, I may not be able to - once again - go to daily radiation, or chemo treatments. It’s all falling apart on me. I have been a responsible person all of my life, and never had to ask anyone for anything, but at the sunset of my life, and in the biggest fight FOR my life, I’m needing to ask for help. Perhaps if someone is my area would be able to donate services in lieu of monetary? It is all appreciated. It’s been a rough year. I’m growing weary, but not ready to give up… just yet.
