A Life Committed to Dignity and Service

For years, I have dedicated my life and personal resources to feeding, clothing, educating, and housing street children and vulnerable families. I have done this quietly — without cameras, without publicity, and without seeking recognition — because I believe that charity must preserve dignity.

I have always lived by the Kiswahili principle:

“Tenda mema, uende zako.”

Do good and walk away.

And indeed, I walked away — never asking for anything in return.

The Hidden Cost of Compassion

Over time, the needs grew. More families. More children. More emergencies. School fees that could not wait. Rent arrears that meant eviction. Hospital bills that meant life or death.

I stepped in each time.

To keep hope alive for others, I stretched beyond my limits. I borrowed. I sacrificed. I postponed my own family’s needs. I believed I would recover financially as I continued working and speaking.

But today, I find myself in serious debt.

In trying to shelter others, I now struggle to secure a stable home for my own family.

In trying to educate other children, I now worry about my own responsibilities.

This is not written from a place of regret. I would still choose compassion.

But today, I need help.

I am humbly requesting support in two critical areas:

Clearing accumulated debts incurred while supporting vulnerable families.

Building a modest, stable home for my family — a safe place where my children can grow with security and dignity.
