My name is Cris, and I'm reaching out with a humble heart to ask for your help.

Years ago, before my disabilities became so severe, my family made the decision to adopt two amazing children. Due to the abuse and neglect, one of our children is Developmentaly Delayed and has been diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, OCD, ODD, Insomnia, ARFID(Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder) Night Terrors, Genu varum (requires him to wear leg braces) and Anxiety. He requires extra care, patience, and support. We have never regretted that decision for a moment, but as my health has declined, providing for our family has become much more difficult.

Several years ago, I was involved in an accident that was through no fault of my own. As a result of my injuries, I was left with permanent health challenges. I require a three-level cervical (neck) fusion, and I also developed Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy (RSD), also known as Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS)—a lifelong neurological pain condition that has no cure. In addition to these challenges, I am legally vision impaired, making it impossible for me to obtain a DL and work a traditional job. I also have 3 lower slipped disk, Osteoarthritis Vitamin D Deficiency, and Anemia causing my fingers to have nodules creating some deformation.

Despite everything, I refuse to give up. My goal has never been to rely on government assistance for the rest of my life. Instead, I've worked to build a small business that I can operate despite my disabilities. It gives me purpose, allows me to contribute to my family's needs, and offers hope that I can become more financially independent.

Unfortunately, the equipment I depend on to create and sell my products has been either broken beyond repair or so out dated that it now needs to be replaced. Without it, one of the few ways I have to earn income has come to a standstill.

This fundraiser isn't about asking for a handout. It's about asking for the opportunity to keep working, keep creating, and keep providing for my family. Every donation will go directly toward replacing the Sewing, Embroidery, and Quilting equipment I need so I can continue building my business and reduce my dependence on government assistance. Also paying off one of my dr. Bill that is not covered by medicaid.
