Hello, and thank you for taking the time to read my story.

My name is Shawna, and asking for help is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do. I have always believed in working hard and doing everything I can to take care of myself, but over the past year I have experienced one financial setback after another.

I currently work in caregiving, but my employer has only been able to provide limited hours, leaving me working just a couple of days each week. Earlier this year I accepted a temporary job to improve my situation, but when that position ended, I was once again left relying on part-time income while continuing to search for full-time employment. I apply for jobs regularly and remain determined to find stable work.

Despite making payments whenever I could, I have fallen far behind on my rent and am now facing the possibility of losing my home. I am also trying to keep up with essential monthly expenses like utilities, transportation, phone service, and other basic necessities while continuing to look for more work.

I am not asking anyone to solve all of my problems. I am simply asking for a helping hand while I work to rebuild my life and become financially stable again. Every donation, whether large or small, will go toward keeping a roof over my head, paying essential bills, and helping me remain stable while I continue working and searching for additional employment.
