above the knee leg amputee. I lost my leg in a motorcycle accident when I was 20 years old. I have been unable to work since I was 56 due to a car accident that damaged my prosthetic. With the coverage I have I can only get a new leg every 7 years and I have to pay 20% of the total cost of the leg before it can be built. My cost is $8,000. I have struggled with housing due to my limited disability income and it has made it impossible to save for a leg. When I was 40 years old my colon ruptured and I had to have 18 inches of it removed, now 20+ years later I am facing more colon/intestinal issues with more surgeries on the horizon. I cannot due basic tasks, such as going to the bathroom, because I can't walk on my crutches, it puts too much strain on my stomach. I'm at a loss of what else I can do. I'm not one to ask for help but I'm in dire need. God has blessed me with my life twice now and I'm praying that he will help me through this as well.
