Hi everyone!

My name is Denise and I am reaching out to you on behalf of my dear friend Margaret who I have known for over 30 years. For 3+ years she has valiantly battled stage 3 colon cancer, navigating the health care system, researching clinical trials, reading medical papers, getting 2nd and 3rd opinions, paying for scans and genetic testing before ultimately starting treatment. Working was stressing her out and causing the tumor to grow so she had to stop and dedicate 100% of her energy to treatment and healing. She has taken an integrative approach which as many of you know involves treatments, drugs, therapies and protocols not covered by insurance. So out of pocket expenses have soared and with only one income to live on, life has been very challenging.

Her treatment has included radiation, chemotherapy and the first of many major surgeries she will need. She called me from the ER many times, as there were side effects, infections and complications arising all the time. After the first major surgery she thought she was done, cured and cancer free but then the pathology report came back with some devastating news…it had spread. So now she is back in conventional chemo and continuing her integrative therapies and drug protocol. She will need another major surgery soon with an expensive hospital stay and long recovery.

I know everyone is strapped for money and we all know someone who is suffering from this disease, but please think about Margaret, share this link, donate a few dollars, send her a prayer or words of encouragement.
