I was a Police Officer for 20 years and had to retire due to a back injury.  I was able to return to work as a Plan Reviewer and Building Inspector where I worked for 14 years.  I slipped on a wet tile floor, caused by a plumbing leak, and was knocked unconscious with a concussion.  The fall also reinjured my neck, which was hurt in an automobile accident where I was rear ended.  Between the neck pain and concussion I was unable to return to work.  I did not pay into Social Security while a Police Officer so my monthly disability check is around 500 minus 200 for insurance.

Through it all my back injury has caused constant and significant pain, even with a nerve stimulator.

 I have been writing to my elected officials, both state and federal, for 5 years but because I am a 65 year old white male there are no programs available to help me purchase a Zero Gravity Recliner.  I have sat in many such recliners and they are the only ones that afford me a brief respite from the pain.

I recently began working as a delivery driver despite the pain but my life is pain filled.  Work became necessary because of the government ruining our economy and increasing the cost of basic foods by hundreds of percentage points.  I am working in order to survive. Unfortunately I do not make enough money to afford a Zero Gravity Recliner.

my spinal issues have progressed to the point that every disk is bulging or herniated and I also have scoliosis.
