I want to share about some dear friends of Kelsey and mine, of about 14 years, Holly and Tony Nittoli. We met them through church in Ohio in 2011. Holly has become one of my wife’s closest friends over the years and means the world to her. Her and Tony have been married for 28 years now, and if you’ve ever met them, you know how much love they have for each other and for the Lord. Their life together is a powerful picture of faith, devotion, and selfless love — but also one of incredible hardship.



Holly, has late-stage limb-girdle muscular dystrophy and is now in respiratory failure. Her illness has progressed very quickly over the past few years, and she’s now completely dependent on Tony’s care. She can’t be left alone or do anything for herself anymore, and yet, she radiates peace and faith in a way that’s honestly hard to put into words.

What amazes me most about Holly is that with all she is facing, she still talks about wanting to run her race in a way that is pleasing to the Lord, and wants people to see how God’s grace has carried her through daily suffering, and hopes others can see His light shining through her life.



Tony, has been her rock, and does everything for her — selflessly, without complaint, and always with love. He works so hard to take care of her and tries to bring her joy every day, even when he’s exhausted, from all the pressure and stress of everything that life is throwing at them. He is balancing his job and home the best that he can, but it is getting more difficult, and they have fallen behind financially. 

They are in need of being able to purchase a handicap accessible vehicle for Holly to safely and comfortably travel to her Dr. appointments in. They also desperately need to make updates to their home — like making the bathroom and bedroom more accessible for Holly, and getting a lift-to-stand bed and chair to make her daily care safer and more comfortable.



This fundraiser is to try and help ease their financial burdens by helping with bills and hopefully making some of these bigger needs possible. I know they would never ask for help themselves — they are both so humble — but I also know how much they need it right now.

 If you feel led, please consider giving financially or sharing this with others. Every dollar will go directly to helping Holly and Tony with daily expenses, medical needs, and accessibility improvements. But more than anything, please keep them in your prayers. 

They’ve both shown what it means to trust God in the darkest valleys, to love each other deeply, and to cling to hope when life feels impossible. Holly has said she just wants her life and all that she has been going through to somehow point people to Jesus — and I believe it absolutely does.
