The governor of the state of Hawaii has ended mandatory indoor masking as of March 26, 2022 and has declared that the Covid-19 emergency is over. The CDC has has also stated it is now safe to unmask the children in our schools, yet the Department of Education is enforcing continued masking upon our school children, with very few exceptions.
Children continue to experience disproportionate restrictions, struggle with unprecedented challenges to social-emotional learning, and the costs are mounting. Shifting to a mask optional culture will enable focused protection while encouraging the success of our children.
Indefinite long term masking of the lowest risk demographic in our population has created an epidemic of mental health challenges that we are now only beginning to face.
As the voices of parents, healthcare professionals and concerned citizens continue to be ignored, For Our Rights is poised to take legal action to remedy the situation. We believe it is the responsibility of the parents to decide what is best for their child's health and that the Department of Education does not have the legal authority to override that right.
Please donate to the legal fund so we can finally put the power back in the hands of the people.
