Through this project, we build and gift handcrafted wooden keepsake crates to veterans as a symbol of gratitude for their service. Each crate is designed to store medals, uniforms, flags, photographs, and other items that represent a lifetime of dedication and sacrifice.

Too often, veterans leave service without a lasting or tangible acknowledgment of what they gave. Important service items are frequently stored away, scattered, or lost over time. Gifting a dedicated keepsake crate provides a permanent place of honor — a reminder that their service mattered and that it will not be forgotten.

These crates are not sold to veterans — they are gifted. Our goal is to ensure that those who served our country receive something worthy of their story, crafted with care, respect, and intention.

The keepsake crates gifted through this project are handcrafted in partnership with Freedom Crate Co., a small Florida-based woodworking operation dedicated to building durable, meaningful wooden storage boxes. Freedom Crate Co. contributes materials, labor, and craftsmanship to help ensure each crate reflects the respect and quality our veterans deserve.

The Final Salute Project is currently an independent, community-driven effort and is not yet a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. As the project grows, we plan to formalize the organization and expand the number of veterans we can honor each year.
