🐎🐶The Unthinkable Decision 😢

I'm Kassandra, and my husband and I have been grappling with a gut-wrenching choice that no pet owner should ever have to make. Just the other day, we had to face the harsh reality that we currently cannot afford our animals. It was an emotional moment, one filled with heartache but also gratitude for their years of companionship.

You see, we're not just pet owners; Buchanan (my husband) is a trained EMT who's been patiently waiting on the sidelines to join the fire department. He had applied months ago and eagerly awaits the hiring process that could start any day now. In the meantime, he’s working in construction while I work as a veterinary technician and care for our animals - two old dogs, Annie and Richtof (both rescue dogs) two aged horses, Phoebe and Dale.

We've always been fiscally responsible, cutting every possible corner to avoid this heartbreaking decision. But times have gotten tough; we simply can't afford their feed anymore. It’s a painful truth that leaves us in an impossible situation - continuing isn’t sustainable for our family budget.

Saying goodbye to Phoebe and Dale feels like admitting defeat, but it was about choosing between essentials not luxuries. Every day without help means saying goodbye to another pet we can't afford to feed. We need your support more than ever!
