From the Desk of Ezra and Elias Kim
We are two Jiujitsu brothers, Ezra aged 11 (birthday is today- 6/30!) and Elias aged 12, with big dreams and the willingness to work hard to earn them. We want to bring you along with us as we become IBJJF PanKids World Champions a second time around this summer.
Our journey on the mats has already shown us what is possible with dedication. We both achieved the prestigious title PanKids Champion in our grey belt divisions- Elias in 2024 and Ezra in 2025. This July 26th, we are returning to IBJJF PanKids 2026 in Kissimmee, Florida to aim for gold in the yellow belt level.
Driven by Discipline
To compete against the best Jiujitsu athletes in the world, our commitment has to be absolute. We have been training every day, 7-8 hours on weekdays during the summer and 1-2 hours on weekends. Over the past 4 years as competitive athletes, Jiujitsu has taught us that hard work, discipline and perseverance can overcome any challenge. Every early morning, every late-night session, and every personal sacrifice brings us one step closer to achieving our goal.
But our goal doesn't stop at Pans.
This year, we are learning how to lead and set an example for our competition team as it continues to grow. We are having opportunities to coach the littles class as well as our younger comp teammates. We realize our words and actions have an impact on those around us, and we are starting to feel the weighty honor of living up to God's standards as young men of God. We have a lot to learn and grow. Through training as pro athletes this summer, we are becoming disciplined in mind, body and spirit. Through competing as pro athletes, we are learning to have courage, fail, get back up and do it all over again while developing grit and learning to embrace the journey. As we build up our network and skills, we are learning to pay it forward to our younger teammates and community. We are realizing that it is a privilege to train and compete at this high level, and Jiujitsu is a vehicle to build up our faith, leadership and resilience to fully become the people God intended us to be become.

By supporting our fundraiser, you aren't just funding a tournament trip; you are investing in building up our characters and our future as servant leaders.
