Ima Muslimah revert my life fell apart please help

At 15, I met a man who would shape the next two decades of my life in ways I never could have imagined.

At 18, I married him. At 19, I started having children. I never finished high school. I moved away from my family, far from everything I knew, and spent years trapped in a loveless marriage marked by trauma and alcoholism his and eventually mine.

When I finally escaped, he made sure I left with nothing. Everything we had built together houses, vehicles, a business gone. I started over from zero.

But I bought a house. I built a life. And I survived.

Then, in 2023, everything changed.

At 41 years old, I enrolled in high school. I wanted my diploma something that had been taken from me before I ever had the chance to earn it.

That same year, I met a man who was Muslim. Just watching him live his faith quietly shook something loose in me. I started researching Islam deeply, obsessively, with everything I had. And somewhere in that search, something in my chest just... settled.

By July 2023, I put down the alcohol. For good. Nearly four years sober now, alhamdulillah.

By September 2023, I walked across a graduation stage as the top of my class the special guest speaker, honored for overcoming the most obstacles of any student. I stood there at 41 years old and I wept.

I had already made my Shahada quietly, alone in my bed, because I couldn't wait. I just knew.

In March 2024, on the day I married my husband, we made it official together.

Then the tests began in earnest.

September 2024 my mother passed away. When I was 5 years old, I watched my father die. Losing my mother tore that wound open all over again. Abandonment. Grief. Anxiety. All of it at once.

I was thousands of miles away with my husband when it happened. I had to grieve across an ocean.

March 2025 I came home. The job I had been promised? Gone the day I landed. Days later, my electricity went out. My license plates were expired. No insurance. No income.

I applied for hundreds of jobs. Hundreds. Silence or rejection, every single time.

I lost 40 pounds. I sat in the dark. I had no friends, no family nearby, no support system just me, my small house out back, and Allah.

I want you to understand what that looked like: cold, hungry, alone, in the dark, with nothing left to hold onto but faith.

August 2025 my electric meter melted. The same day my tenant moved out and took the last income I had.

I called every church. Every organization. I even swallowed my pride and called my ex-husband and his mother. Eventually, they loaned me $6,100. I am still indebted to them.

I got the meter fixed. Then the furnace blower motor went out. Then my utilities were shut off completely because months had passed and I simply could not pay.

Indiana had a brutal winter. I spent those long, cold nights alone. No heat. Still hungry. Still no one.

Just me and Allah.

And that's when something shifted inside me. I stopped asking why and started asking what do You want me to do with this?

I found TikTok almost by accident just sharing my journey, my love for Islam, what it has done to my soul. I wasn't trying to build an audience. I was just trying to breathe.

February 2026 utilities back on. Furnace fixed. I finally had a path to renting my house again and stabilizing.

Then the plumber discovered my main sewage line had collapsed under the concrete driveway.

By the grace of Allah, it got fixed. But the cumulative weight of everything left me $12,163.74 behind on my mortgage and car note.

Here is where I stand today.

I am not asking out of desperation anymore. I am asking out of tawakkul complete trust in Allah, and belief that He places the right people in each other's paths for a reason.

I have been rebuilt twice before. This time, I am being rebuilt as a Muslim. And I believe that matters. I believe what I went through, and what I am still going through, is meant to be shared so that others can see that Islam isn't just a religion you adopt. It is a lifeline that holds you when nothing else will.

I am still doing dawah. I am still showing up. I am still trusting.

I am asking my ummah my family to be part of this miracle.

What I need to stay in my home and keep moving forward:

Mortgage arrears (due by June 1): $6,163.74

Car note arrears: $5,500

Insurance & license plates: $500

Total: $12,163.74

Every dollar shared or donated is a sadaqah. May Allah reward you with afiyah, with ease, with everything you've ever made du'a for.

Jazakum Allahu khayran. ❤️
