Equipping the Church to Heal the Brokenhearted Through Story, Training, and Spirit‑Led Restoration
Who I Am and Why This Mission Exists
My name is Bob Ahrens.
God has always been by my side.
He has been the root of every system I’ve built across 50 years of strategic marketing, software development, and ministry architecture.
And for the last seven years, He hasn’t been rebuilding my life. He already did that.
He has been defining my ministry with clarity, precision, and purpose.
I’ve been listening deeply.
I’ve been obeying consistently.
And I’ve been building everything He has shown me.
Now it’s time to build exactly what God has defined, so we can deploy the trauma‑healing movement He entrusted to us.
The Story God Has Been Writing
I got sober in 2004.
And for the next 15 years, I didn’t build a single ministry.
I didn’t design a framework.
I didn’t create a system.
I let Jesus rebuild me.
I was discipled, shaped, corrected, healed, and formed.
God took me through a long season of dying to the world so He could prepare me for the work He would one day entrust to me.
Only after those 15 years of discipleship did God release me to begin building the trauma‑healing ministries: 11 ministries in total, each one designed to help churches, families, and communities heal.
I didn’t build them from brokenness. I built them from obedience.
The Clarity God Gave Me
A few weeks ago, God woke me at 4 a.m. with a burden I couldn’t ignore.
It wasn’t fear.
It wasn’t prediction.
It was clarity.
Clarity that the last few years revealed something we can’t unsee: people are carrying more trauma than the church is prepared to handle. Families are unraveling. Pastors are burning out. Communities are fractured. And the very place Jesus designed to heal the brokenhearted is often the least equipped to do so.
I sensed the Lord saying, “This is why I gave you the trauma‑healing framework. This is why I walked you through your own healing. This is why I’ve been rebuilding you. The need is here. The time is now.”
That moment didn’t give me a timeline; it gave me direction.
It didn’t give me fear; it gave me purpose.
It didn’t give me urgency; it gave me obedience.
Continuing the Work God Started in Us
Our calling is to continue what we’ve been doing for the past seven years — building tools, creating stories, training, and Spirit‑led pathways that help the church become a place of real healing like never before.
For seven years, God has been shaping us for this work. Not in a classroom. Not in a boardroom. But in real life... through real wounds, real healing, real ministry, and real people. Every tool we’ve built, every story we’ve captured, every training we’ve designed, and every Spirit‑led pathway we’ve developed has come from walking alongside the brokenhearted and watching Jesus restore what trauma tried to destroy.
This mission isn’t new.
It’s not a sudden idea.
It’s the continuation of a work God began long before we understood its purpose.
Now, as trauma rises across our nation and churches search for clarity, God is calling us to take everything He has entrusted to us and build it into a national movement of healing.
We’re not starting over.
We’re building on seven years of obedience, revelation, and preparation.
And we believe God is inviting others to build it with us.
What We’re Building
We are launching:
- A national trauma‑healing ecosystem
- A documentary‑style storytelling mission
- A discipleship pathway for wounded believers
- A creative studio producing stories, training, and healing resources
- A testimony‑driven national movement called Trauma Stories
A Special Gift for Our First Donors: “A Peek at the Peak”
Our earliest supporters are helping us build something sacred from the ground up. To honor that, we want to give you something special... a peek at the peak.
As a first‑wave donor, you’ll receive exclusive early access to a private excerpt from my memoir‑in‑progress and testimony film, Falling Into Dark - Breaking Into Light. This is not a published book. It’s not polished. It’s raw, honest, and deeply personal — a window into the story that helped give birth to Trauma Stories.
This early look isn’t about hype.
It’s about connection.
It’s about trust.
It’s about letting you see the heart behind the mission you’re investing in.
Why We’re Asking for Help
This GiveSendGo is the seed funding to help us:
- Finalize the trauma‑healing framework
- Produce the first wave of stories and media
- Build the donor and partner infrastructure
- Launch the seven‑ministry ecosystem
- Sustain our mobile creative mission while we build
We’re not asking for charity.
We’re asking for co‑builders... people who believe the church can heal again, who believe Jesus still restores the brokenhearted, and who believe that trauma‑healing is central to the mission of Christ.
Your giving, whether large or small, helps us take the next faithful step.
Your prayers strengthen us.
Your partnership builds something that will outlive all of us.
