J6 Family Fighting for Home

The non-violent, pardoned J6 political prisoner, Joseph "Pi" Thomas and his family are fighting to protect their home. Joseph was persecuted by the FBI & DOJ for his peaceful presence at the Capitol protest Jan 6 2021. He never entered the building, was nonviolent, yet arrested by an FBI counterterrorism SWAT team, given 12 exaggerated charges, and forced to fight a lengthy legal process for several years, costing him and his family everything they worked so hard for together.

Despite his innocence Joseph was sentenced to almost five years in federal prison. The lawfare thrust upon his family was devastating. His wife & four children struggled to survive that destruction for over a year before the appeals court dismissed his case and the president of the United States, Donald J Trump, awarded Joseph a full and unconditional pardon.

Throughout that year Joseph and his family suffered great loss, deaths, and hardship. Joseph's father-in-law passed away while Joseph was wrongfully incarcerated. Their family lived together with his father-in-law for several years taking care of him and his medical needs daily. Their family home built some of the most cherished memories that they shared b together, many of which are the last memories they will have of his children's Grandpa; the last few years with Carolyn's Dad.

Upon Joseph's triumphant release from federal prison he was very thankful to have a home to come to because of the tireless efforts of his wife Carolyn, his family, and a mighty God that provides. Yet, upon returning home the Thomas family then had to fight in federal court to prove his release because the Bureau of Prisons neglected to provide proof of his release which made Joseph unable to receive his veterans benefits, a driver's license, or secure employment for over 6 months months. By the grace of our Lord, that tedious legal battle was won. Joseph and his family were finally able to start rebuilding. Yet, there was still a more urgent issue at hand, which is why we are asking for help. Immediately upon his return, his home came under attack.

When Carolyn's Dad passed away, he had no will and the mortgage company for the property shut Joseph's family off from managing the estate, citing that the Thomas family were not listed on "the account" despite several years of Joseph and Carolyn managing that account directly.

Long story short, a lengthy probate case, $80,000 Medicaid claim, and an in rem foreclosure complaint were filed against the estate and the Thomas family. I'm sure you can understand the devastation caused by a years-long federal legal battle, to then come home and immediately be thrust into four more legal battles with the risk of losing everything. The Thomas' and their children have suffered enough already!

Determined to protect his family Joseph and Carolyn took those legal battles head on by representing themselves Pro Se in all three property cases; unable to afford counsel. Solely by the faithfulness of God, the Medicaid case was won. Probate is almost complete (updates will be provided). The final hurdle is the unjust foreclosure case.

The default on the property was not caused by their neglect. It was caused by the lender rejecting multiple payment attempts, violating the clean hands doctrine. Additionally, the legal process has drawn out for over a year with arduous court procedures. Reaching the end of this tireless legal assault, there is an approximately $20,000 demand made against the estate and the need for legal representation. They are able to afford and maintain the home, however after fighting for so long neither the Thomas family, nor the estate, can handle such a dramatic lump sum. We are reaching out for help, placing it in God's hands. The Thomas family has dedicated their lives toward fighting for our country, standing for faith, and devotion towards the American dream. Will you fight for them?

We ask you to pray for our family, and if you feel so lead in the spirit, please donate generously. There is light at the end of this tunnel. The best is yet to come. Their hope is in Christ, and we know He will provide. Do you hear His calling to to help?

Their deadline quickly approaches. It's now or never. Thank you very much for your generosity, or at the very least for hearing our story. God bless.

Prayerfully,

The Thomas family
