This year we are joining up with Project Honduras serving the people of Honduras this Summer!

Project Honduras as a seed in 2021 which blossomed in earnest these last five years. To borrow from their About Page, as Teresa put it: their journey became one which offers "hope, love, and encouragement, and an opportunity to build authentic relationships within rural schools in the region of Copan and the communities in which they are located, as well as in Comayagua."

There are many ways to serve the people of Honduras from supply distribution, teacher training, and building/maintaining the school buildings for the kids. Part of how we are going to serve will involve lots of painting -- as long as it doesn't rain!

Honduras is the poorest country in Latin America yet full of the rich vitality of the Tropics producing and exporting coffee, bananas, shrimp, and more. The people here rely on agriculture as well as tourism to sustain their economy.

The country gained their independence from Spain in 1821, their primary language being Spanish yet many also speak English. The population is heavily influenced by the Roman Catholicism of their once conquerors yet their culture remains rich. The indigenous of this land are known as the Ch'orti' -- although this society is closed to outsiders, PEH has connections to their community and have seen growing opportunities to tell them about their Creator and His Love. The people of Honduras are hungry to learn about the Lord and to teach His Truth among all the peoples of their land.

How will they know -- if no one tells them. How will they be told unless someone is sent to do the telling.

This is a tiny snapshot of where we have been called to serve this year -- would you be willing to help us get there? Every little gift helps us get to the goal!

When we leave for Honduras this coming June, wouldn't you like to say you've been a part of God's Mission in bringing His Kingdom come to the Ends of the Earth? Prayerfully consider giving. But more than anything: PRAY.
