After returning from vacation, I became very sick from food poisoning, and it caused my body to completely shut down. I was unable to work, eat, or even get up on my own for a period of time. My oldest daughter had to help care for me through it all. Because of my illness, I missed a significant amount of work, which caused my paychecks to be short and left me struggling to keep up with my bills.

During this time, my legs became swollen, and my blood pressure increased. Although I am feeling much better now, I still have ongoing problems with my legs, and some days the pain and swelling make it difficult for me to work. I have been seeing my doctor, and she is currently referring me to a specialist for further treatment and evaluation.

I have continued to work through these challenges the best I can, but financially I have fallen behind due to missed work, medical expenses, and household bills.
