Help Our Family Get Home and Back on Our Feet

Hi, my name is Tayler Johnson, and I’m a stay-at-home mom to four amazing children—ages 6, 4, 2, and 1. My husband, Brayven, works incredibly hard every day to provide for our family, and we’re asking for help during one of the hardest moments we’ve ever faced.

We traveled to Houston to spend the Fourth of July with family, and while we were here, I made a mistake that has left us stranded. I accidentally overfilled the oil in our 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan. What I hoped would be a simple fix turned into major engine damage, and now our vehicle needs extensive repairs before it can safely get us home.

I have replayed that moment in my head over and over. The guilt has been overwhelming because I know this happened because of my mistake. As a wife and mother, it’s heartbreaking to feel like I caused so much hardship for the people I love most.

Right now, we are incredibly grateful that this happened while we were with family instead of on the side of a highway or hundreds of miles from anyone who could help us. We truly believe God placed us in the safest place possible when this happened.

Unfortunately, being stranded comes with another challenge. My husband can’t get back to work until we have transportation home. As the sole provider for our family of six, every missed day of work means lost income that we desperately depend on for rent, groceries, and caring for our children.

The funds raised will go toward:

1. Repairing our family vehicle.
2. Renting transportation so my husband can return to work as quickly as possible.
3. Helping cover lost wages while we’re unexpectedly stranded.

Asking for help is incredibly difficult for us. We know so many people are facing their own struggles, and we never imagined we’d be in this position. But if you’re able to help—even with just a few dollars—it would mean more to our family than words can express. Every single donation brings us one step closer to getting home and getting our lives back on track.
