Hey everyone! Today, I’m here to share my story and hope it touches your heart. It's a journey of necessity and resilience and just trying to get by day to day. I Thank GOD for my Wife because without her I would have drown by now!

You see, I’ve been dealing with some serious medical and mental health issues (think of lots of big words like cervical and lumbar spinal stenosis and collapse, closed brain trama, and PTSD). Which have me running to VA appointments, surgical appointments, and follow-ups non-stop. It doesn't stop there though. My son has some medical issues as well and I have primarily been the one to take him to his specialists appointments and follow-up appointments.

This all started when I needed to have emergency neck surgery due to a complete collapse of three disks in my neck due to an old military injury. In the rush to get the care that I needed the ambulance took me to the nearest level one trama center, and not to the nearest Veterans Affairs Hospital (60 miles away). Because, of going to a non Veteran Affairs Hospital and not getting prior VA approval the VA is only willing to pay about a quarter of my medical cost. We are appealing the VA decisions but that takes time, and the bill are coming in and going past due.

As I said above Thank God for my Wife keeping us afloat for now. My Angel if there ever was one.

I’ve always believed in community strength and good Karma. That together we can overcome the toughest of challenges. That's why I turned to crowdfunding for a helping hand up and not a hand out.
