Help D Pregnant With Advanced Breast Cancer
When my sister Dee, a devout Catholic homeschool mom, phoned me with news, I was expecting an update on her pregnancy as she is pregnant with her sixth son, sadly, the news was gut wrenching. My darling sister, a joyful spark in this world, was diagnosed with advanced breast cancer whilst pregnant. This news was a huge shock, because she’s a healthy, petite, gorgeous, peppy, 35 year old; not who I expected to get sick. She’s braved this diagnosis with rare fortitude. She has undergone chemotherapy whilst pregnant and lost all her hair, had a biopsy then lumpectomy, and is now unfortunately needing a mastectomy and more lymph out. Once the baby is born her treatments will continue. She is also consulting a naturopath to see what else can be done above the mainstream. The bottom line is that we can’t lose her! We just can’t! She has soon to be six sons, a loving and dedicated, hard working husband, Mike, the love of her life, and many family and friends who love her. We are praying for her every spare moment.
