I am reaching out because my daughter desperately needs some emergency financial help. Carissa recently lost her job and fell behind on her bills while doing her absolute best to support herself and her daughter, who is about to start college. The wonderful news is that she just landed a new job this week and will be back on her feet soon! However, her first paycheck won't arrive for two weeks. She is in dire need of $3,000 immediately to cover two months of back rent, her late phone bill, and gas to get to and from her new job. As her mother, it breaks my heart that I cannot help her myself, but being retired and on a fixed budget, I am struggling to get by as it is.
