When James Cusick, a 75-year-old pastor and purple heart veteran, and his son Casey Cusick walked into the Capitol building to find a bathroom while protesting the stolen election on January 6, 2021, police led the way.
There were no barricades blocking entry into the building or signs posted informing protesters that they would be committing a crime for stepping into what many believe is The People's House.
Once in the building, the cops provided James and Casey directions to the nearest bathroom as other law enforcement officials took selfies with other peaceful protesters who are now deemed "insurrectionists."
Footage that will be exhibited during the Cusick trial confirms their time in the Capitol building spans for approximately nine minutes during the protest as tried to find the bathroom.
For merely walking around inside the Capitol Building while many police officers stood around in a friendly manner "fist-bumping" protestors, they are each charged with federal crimes including, Knowingly Entering or Remaining in any Restricted Building or Grounds Without Lawful Authority, Disorderly or Disruptive Conduct in a Restricted Building, Violent Entry and Disorderly Conduct on Capitol Grounds.
The government asked the jury to find James and Casey guilty of these charges, which led to a 10-day sentence in federal prison for spending nine minutes in the Capitol Building. They are currently appealing and need substantial help with the costs of taking their case to the DC Circuit Court of Appeals and then likely the Supreme Court.
Casey's daughter was just three years old when she was awoken by the FBI ransacking their home, wielding AR-15s and pistols and has since suffered from post traumatic stress.

"To this day, my daughter is unsure if cops are good or bad," Casey notes. "It got so bad to where we ended up having to move out of the house because every time somebody knocked on my door, my little girls are afraid if it's the police coming back again. it chokes me up to talk about the raid still to this day."
Like most J6 defendants, the Cusick family are average Americans who cannot afford exorbitant legal fees for representation against the federal government's unlimited resources without assistance from the American people. They have also been smeared by local and national media as "insurrectionists" and "domestic terrorists."
God bless every American who is lifting up J6 defendants with prayers and donations.
God bless you! Keep the faith; the LORD is in this and He's already won. God wins, we win!
This could happen to any of us unlucky enough to catch the attention of or evil authorities.
Prayers
May the Lord bless you and keep you and your family safe

May God bless you and grant you freedom and justice. May your enemies fall at your feet.
Casey, I've been watching your podcasts for a while now...came to know you thru your interviews with Jessie. I'm so sorry for what you and your family and David have had to go thru. I was there that day too - prior to walking to the capital, it was the most PEACEFUL crowd of people praying, singing, praising God! I will never forget the feeling that day...up until the FED infiltrated!! GOD BLESS!
God bless you; stay strong!
Praying for your acquittal.
