Hello everyone,

Casey Smotherman and I (Ashley Young) have created this fundraiser on behalf of the Jacobs family.

Many of you have already heard that what was supposed to be a simple family vacation in Gulf Shores took a frightening turn when Cory suddenly became very ill. Natalie rushed him to the ER, where doctors discovered a significant mass. He was immediately life-flighted to Sacred Heart in Pensacola, where he underwent surgery to remove a mass roughly the size of a mandarin. When he was finally back home in Tennessee (less than 24 hours), he had to go back to the ER in Murfreesboro because he was diagnosed with a staph infection where he spent another week. 

An Important Update on Cory’s Journey

As the family navigates the next steps of recovery and long-term healing, Cory has chosen a non-traditional treatment plan. Unfortunately, because this path is non-traditional, it will not be covered by insurance. The costs for this specialized care will require a large financial commitment over the next several months. While the Jacobs family remains steadfast in their decision, the financial weight of this journey is significant.
