🌟 The Journey Back Home to Chris and His Family 🌟

It was a crisp Fall evening when everything changed. Chris, a hardworking dad of three young kids, found himself at the center of an unimaginable crisis. An accidental gunshot wound and an extreme amount of blood loss led him into cardiac arrest—a moment so terrifying that it felt like life had taken an unthinkable turn. But here's where our story gets even more inspiring...

Chris fought back with a strength and resilience I've never seen before. After losing consciousness, being resuscitated, and slipping into a medically-induced coma for over a month—he showed us all that the will to live is stronger than any setback life can throw at you. Fast forward seven months later, and Chris isn’t just alive; he’s making progress every single day. During the ER crisis, Chris suffered low oxygen levels due to asphyxiation (only at 30%) for over an hour which is the main cause of his long term disability. He suffers from myoclonus tremors and has been in physical therapy for over 3 months to retrain his arms and hands and to learn how to control them again. He still needs assistance with walking and can only go short periods.

But let's talk about the real heroes here: Kellie, his wife of over 13 years, who has faced this battle by her husband's side without a moment of falter. She is a true pillar of strength—a mother and now caregiver to Chris and their three incredible children aged 10, 6, and almost 2.

Yet, even heroes need help sometimes. Chris can’t work for an unknown period due to his injuries, leaving the family's financial stability hanging precariously in the balance. They rely solely on Kellie's disability income, which is far from enough. That's where you come in! 🌈

Help is needed since Chris is loosing his physical therapy visits as he has met the maximum visit amount for the year. He is also loosing his insurance as they can no longer afford the high premiums. They have applied for state medical coverage which apparently doesn't cover physical therapy unless they pay for the expensive supplemental plan.
