I'm not one to ask for help easily, but sometimes life throws you a curveball so big that it knocks you off your feet. That’s how it felt when our family received the news about little Camden and his brave fight against cancer. Camden was diagnosed with CNS Germinoma on January 6, 2026. 

CNS Germinoma is a rare brain cancer that primarily affects children and adolescents, especially between ages 10 and 19 and is more common in males.

I remember the day the doctor walked into Camden’s hospital room and sat down beside me —it was like someone had ripped open the calm bubble of normal life, tossing everything into chaos. Camden isn't just a 13 year old student-athlete that loves lacrosse and video games; he is part of our family’s heartbeat.  He is beloved by his teachers, his classmates and his friends for his infectious smile, sharp wittedness and selflessness.

We are sharing Camden’s story because someone out there might be going through their own storm, yet they find hope in knowing others are fighting just as hard—sometimes even harder—on behalf of those less fortunate. This is about tapping into that shared strength of the eastern shore community to make a tangible difference where it matters most.
