The CAUGHT Foundation is a new non-profit founded by former Canadian law enforcement, military, and intelligence personnel.

Our mission is focused on combatting human trafficking and child exploitation through investigative and extraction operations as well as educating members of the public, primarily teachers and caregivers.

The Problem in Canada

Canadian police agencies do not have the adequate resources to investigate the excess number of human trafficking incidents across the country and as a result, The CAUGHT Foundation is attempting to assist by taking on some of the cases law enforcement is unable to investigate.

In the interest of assisting local police services with their caseload, the CAUGHT Foundation has partnered with private organizations to begin investigating instances of human trafficking and crimes against children.

Human Trafficking has come to the forefront of many agencies and police services, as one of the most deplorable, trauma inducing and heinous crimes in not only Canada, but around the world.  The fight against Human Trafficking has evolved immensely over the last decade, from the ways in which it is investigated by police, and the way in which those affected are supported.  While the recognition and support is at an all-time high, the resources available to combat human trafficking still lags. 

Campaign Outcomes

CAUGHT is asking for your help today in the form of donations which will go towards an operation that is currently awaiting funding.

The details of this operation will remain closed until after its completion, but the expected outcome of the operation is the following:

• A preliminary report outlining the scope and nature of human trafficking in a Canadian City.
• Identification of key trafficking networks and methods.
• Evidence to charge subject(s) with human trafficking related offences.
• Increased public awareness and engagement on the issue of human trafficking.
• Recommendations for improving victim support services.

Our Capabilities

Our current partners can provide the following capabilities:

• Major Case Management
• Surveillance
• Source handling (victim, witness, informant, whistleblower)
• Cryptocurrency financial tracking
• Digital Forensics
• Dark web monitoring
• Operators are experienced testifying in provincial and federal criminal court

Complex high-risk investigations require expertise, experience, and appropriate support to be successful for the victim, law enforcement hand-off, and for the safety of all.

This initiative will be the first of its kind in Canada and will utilize former Canadian law enforcement and intelligence personnel. Upon completion of this investigation, CAUGHT will provide the investigation package to law enforcement.

Our teams are also prepared to do an extraction of a victim who is willing to be removed from their situation and receive assistance.

FAQs

Can I donate monthly or just once?

Both! We appreciate any amount of support you can provide. Monthly donations allow us to take on additional cases regularly and will ultimately save more lives. If you are able to give monthly, rest assured it will go towards more cases.

What happens when the goal is reached?

This will fully fund the initial operation in Ontario - whether that's an investigative package to law enforcement and/or extraction of victims who are willing to be removed. All additional funds will go towards new cases and expanding the organization to take on even more.

Can you take on more than one case at a time?

Absolutely! As fundraising grows, so do the number of active cases.

Will we be notified when the investigation is complete?

Of course! For the safety and security of the investigators, operators and victims, we can only provide an update once the case is complete. We cannot jeopardize the lives of everyone involved or the integrity of the case details, but we will provide updates when possible.

What happens to victims if they are extracted or saved by police?

Survivors of human trafficking require weeks, months and often years of after care and rehabilitation. We are building connections with various organizations to ensure survivors are never left to heal alone. See our "Building Connections" section below for more details.
