The goal of this campaign is to raise money to cover the three-month budget for Carry the Light Children’s Home, an orphanage and school located in Bondo, Kenya, registered under Children’s Act in the year 2011. The orphanage supports seventy-five children and young adults ranging in age between nine and twenty-one years. Of these, thirty children are orphans who are housed at the orphanage, hence fully dependent on the orphanage support. Forty-five are vulnerable children with a single parent or a guardian, who partially depend on the orphanage support in the form of education and meals at school during the day. These are children whose family members are economically incapacitated and therefore are not able to able to afford the cost of basics like education.
