Care for Camden

Campaign Created by: Renae Wiegert

The funds from this campaign will be received by Brynn Howe.

Goal : USD $20,000
Raised : USD $ 12,378

On February 3rd, Danielle took Camden to their pediatrician for a routine visit. Shortly after they were sent to the ER were Brynn and Danielle's worst fears were confirmed, as an MRI validated that Camden had a malignant brain tumor. Camden has spent the entirety of the last two months in hospitals, having 2 brain surgeries, countless scans, MRI's, test, plus so much more than any 3 year old should ever have to endure. Camden has been diagnosed with a form of brain cancer and although the family is hopeful that he will be able to come home soon, they know they have a long road ahead of them. The emotional and physical toll this has taken on their family is immeasurable, and sadly we know their will be financial burden to follow as well. We have created this in hopes to help ease some of the hardship that will follow all of Camden's medical care. 100% of donations will go directly to the Howe Family. Please feel free to share this as well, and everyone's continued thoughts and prayers are SO greatly appreciated!

*You can read the full details of Camden's story in the image Gallery. I will post updates on Camden's recovery as often as possible!

Update #1

Hello Everyone,

On behalf on my family, we wanted to say thank you to everyone who has reached out and/or made a donation for Camden’s care. We are extremely grateful to you all!

I apologize for not getting on here sooner to provide an update. Camden finished his radiation treatments a couple of weeks ago. He seems to be a lot happier now that he is not being sedated everyday. We have seen his personality shining through again which we didn’t see for a long time. He is still getting sick each day but it has gotten better. He also started going to physical therapy this week to try and get his strength back so he can get back to bouncing off the walls as he did before. His oncologist had been reaching out to his peers for a consult on Camden’s diagnosis and they have officially recommended that Camden not receive chemo treatment at this time. They said the data does not show a statistically significant improvement to justify putting him through that. He is scheduled for a post radiation MRI in a couple of weeks to see how everything is looking. He is also scheduled to see an ophthalmologist for his right eye. He has been having some issues as a result of the “Bells Palsy” and his inability to blink that eye normally.

I’ll post another update in a few weeks following his next few appointments.
